BenRiach, Batch 16 Single Malt – 33 YO 1985 – Virgin Oak – 48,1% – (Incl. a 2 cl free sample)

A rather old and impressive BenRiach, released as part of the 16th batch of single cask releases from the distillery. The peated single malt was distilled back in 1985, and placed straight into a single virgin oak hogshead, cask number 7214. After a whopping 33 years, the cask was cracked open, yielding just 229 bottles at 48.1% ABV, revealing a vibrant, fruity dram.
